Partnership Spotlight: With ARISA, BTU Elevates AI Skills Development in Georgia and beyond
In an era where artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing industries and reshaping economies, the necessity for a skilled workforce has never been more pressing. Recognizing this need, Business and Technology University (BTU) in Georgia has strategically partnered with ARISA, a collaboration that significantly enhances its capacity to lead AI skills development in the region. This partnership is central to BTU’s mission of equipping individuals and organizations with the knowledge and capabilities required for success in an AI-driven future.
At the heart of BTU’s AI efforts is the AI Lab, a hub for research, training, and innovation. This center offers resources like research articles, training programs, and an AI Knowledge Bank to develop AI talent. Key events such as the AI MARATHON, Georgia’s largest high-tech gathering, and the AI JAM competition, which featured a 5,000 GEL prize pool, highlight BTU’s commitment. The “AI in Education” Hackathon, involving 116 teams from 22 universities, led to awards for top projects like TeachAid, Edubot, and 3 Threads, each receiving a share of 20,000 GEL and entry into BTU’s pre-acceleration program for further support.

For BTU, the associated partnership with ARISA represents a significant step forward in its mission to empower students, external beneficiaries, and professionals with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven world. By collaborating with a network of like-minded organizations, BTU strengthens its position as a leader in AI education and contributes to building a more resilient and future-ready workforce not only in Georgia but across Europe.
As the pace of technological advancement accelerates, partnerships like these between BTU and ARISA become increasingly vital in shaping the future of AI education and ensuring that individuals and organizations are equipped to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence.
