About the Strategy

The AI Skills Strategy for Europe is a blueprint strategy aimed at addressing the AI skills gap and fostering a digital-ready workforce in the EU. Its main goal is to lead to systemic and structural impact on reducing skills shortages, gaps, and mismatches, as well as ensure appropriate quality and levels of skills to a broad range of stakeholders in Europe. The Strategy serves as a stepping stone for developing AI educational and training activities in Europe, in an innovative, inclusive and ethical way.

What to Expect

  • An in-depth presentation of the AI Skills Strategy for Europe, showcasing how it addresses the key challenges in the AI field: bridging the AI skills gaps, retaining talent, addressing the diversification of AI profiles, boosting EU market competitiveness.
  • Two insightful panels involving experts from the policy field, industry, and academia: Future-Proof AI Skills: Tackling the Rapid Technological Advancements,and Shaping the Digital Decade: Empowering Diversity and Inclusion in AI.

This session aims to provide actionable insights for these groups, helping them develop AI competencies that are both resilient and responsive to future technological advancements. 

Panel II: Shaping the Digital Decade: Empowering Diversity and Inclusion in AI 

The panel focuses on diversity and inclusion within the AI field. Panelists will explore how inclusive practices can enhance innovation, address bias in AI systems, and ensure that AI solutions are equitable and beneficial for all segments of society. Additionally, the discussion will emphasize strategies for actively integrating underrepresented groups into AI leadership and development processes. By fostering a more diverse AI ecosystem, the panel aims to promote ethical AI strategies that reflect and respect the diverse landscape of Europe.
