The Dark Side of AI and How to Remove the Fear

Dr Andrew Tuson reveals the darker aspects of AI – cybersecurity threats, bias and fairness concerns, disinformation, and more. The session offers an understanding of the risks associated with generative AI implementation and strategies to mitigate them. The emphasis will be on helping you build on the competences that your organisation already has to manage this transition. There will also be interactive exercises on assessing the risk landscape and dealing with incidents to help you ground these ideas into your organisations.

Dr Andrew Tuson has been involved in AI for almost 30 years. A previous Head of Computing in the UK, he was involved in the IT skills debate including an influential report with Microsoft UK (Developing the Future). Since travelling the world in 2012, he has pursued a portfolio career. He is currently working to advance AI skills in the EU as part of the ARISA project with the Warsaw School of Computer Science, where he is teaching cybersecurity.

Developing a Successful AI Strategy

Led by Dr Xander Lub, this session focuses on crafting effective strategies for integrating AI into businesses and aligning with organizational objectives. Explore crucial roles, skills, and insights into governing AI effectively within your organization. This session will show how organisations can benefit from AI by demonstrating best use cases. It will achieve that by making the attendees participate in an interactive activity.

Since January 1, 2021, Dr Xander Lub has been serving as Professor of Organisations in Digital Transition at the Applied University of Utrecht. With a background in Psychology from the University of Leiden and a PhD in work- and organizational psychology from the University of Tilburg, he began his educational journey in New Zealand at the University of Auckland.
