Shape the future of AI learning in Europe

ARISA, together with the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN and CENELEC), is launching a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) to define AI role profiles and educational profiles.
A CWA is a collaborative document developed by experts and stakeholders. It offers practical, market-driven solutions faster than formal standards – a perfect fit for the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence.
By joining the Stakeholder Group, you will:
✅ Help identify and define the most relevant AI job roles and related educational profiles
✅ Align employers’ needs with training providers’ curricula
✅ Contribute to a strong European framework for AI skills development

ARISA workshops across Europe: Connecting European vision with local action

From March to August 2025, the ARISA project brought together over 620 participants across 13 workshops in 13 European countries  to spark dialogue on the future of AI skills in Europe.
These local events connected educators, industry leaders, and policymakers, showcasing how ARISA’s resources can drive real-world impact on the ground.

­­Integrating AI learning into institutions: Lessons learned from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics

The integration of cutting-edge AI education into traditional academic programmes is a challenge many universities face. It’s a fine balancing act between innovation with accreditation, theory with practice, and flexibility with structure. At the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics took on this challenge headfirst by piloting the ARISA project within its MSc in Computer Engineering programme. What results is a successful, scalable model for embedding industry-relevant AI skills into formal higher education.  In this interview, Dr. Bálint Gyires-Tóth at BME develops on the university’s journey from planning to implementation and refinement. How did BME align ARISA’s modular learning outcomes with its existing curriculum? What lessons emerged? How can the experience be replicated for institutions ready to integrate AI learning in their courses/training? With over 400 students participating across two pilot rounds, BME’s story offers valuable insights into the scalability and effectiveness of integrating industry-relevant AI competencies into formal academic programmes.
