After four years of collaboration across Europe, the Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance (ARISA) project is coming to a close – leaving behind an ecosystem of tools, training programmes, and strategic frameworks to strengthen AI skills across the continent.

Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, ARISA has, between 2022 and 2026, addressed Europe’s growing demand for AI competences by delivering practical, scalable, and future-oriented solutions for learners, educators, organisations, and policymakers.
The project’s key achievements include:
- ARISA AI Skills Academy and AI fundamentals crash course – free online training supporting learners at different levels
- AI Skills Strategy for Europe – providing recommendations to align education systems with labour market needs
- Standardised AI role and educational profiles – developed in cooperation with CEN and CENELEC, contributing to a shared European framework for AI skills
- Joint report with the EU AI Office – supporting companies in understanding and implementing the AI Act
- Learning materials, Train-the-trainers programme and guidance on micro-credentials – enabling scalable and recognised AI education across Europe
- Career guidance materials – supporting individuals in navigating AI career pathways.

A lasting platform for AI learning
At the core of ARISA’s legacy is the ARISA AI Skills Academy, which will remain available beyond the project’s lifetime.
The platform offers:
- 100% free, online courses
- Flexible, self-paced learning
- Certificates to support employability
Designed to be accessible to all, it supports:
- Students and job seekers entering the AI field
- Professionals looking to upskill or reskill
- Educators enhancing their curricula
- Organisations developing AI capabilities
A systemic contribution to Europe’s AI future
Beyond training, ARISA has contributed to shaping a more coordinated and future-ready AI skills ecosystem in Europe.
While the project formally concludes, ARISA’s results will continue to support Europe’s ambition to build a skilled, competitive, and resilient AI workforce.
Learners, educators, organisations, and policymakers are encouraged to continue using and building on these resources.
